We are passionate about sharing the Gospel in our community and around the world. Sometimes that looks like building a home or providing clean water and sometimes it means throwing a party for our city so that they know they are loved. Whatever we are doing, we want to be the light and point people to Jesus.
By partnering with organizations like Living Water International, Yugo Ministries, the International Justice Mission and more, Calvary sends teams around the world to work with local churches where God is already working to provide encouragement and resources. Teams have served in Haiti, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua and in 2020 we are adding new trips to Guatemala and Africa.
Throughout the year, Calvary teams take day trips to our partner church, Chicago West Bible Church, to help with various events. Teams have also gone to New Orleans and South Dakota to help with construction projects.
We don't believe that you have to hop on a plane to be on mission. One of our core values is that followers of Jesus share what they know. Whether you are a soccer coach, a teacher, a farmer or a factory worker, Calvary wants to equip you to share the Gospel in your everyday life.
Twice a year, we set aside a Sunday afternoon and send teams out into the community for a Servanthood Sunday. This is a great way to learn more about local organizations and find places to volunteer on a regular basis. We also support several local organizations with financial and volunteer support:
Find out more about missions at Calvary on our information hub at yourcalvary.info/missions.
The info hub, yourcalvary.info, is a great way to find out even more about Calvary. The info hub is a site for our church family where you can find things like the song set from Sunday, pictures from recent events, podcast recommendations, more details about ministries at Calvary, and much more. While it is designed for those who call Calvary home, you are welcome to check it out!
